XDS and Larger Station Setup
For stations with displays the setup is somewhat different from our smaller stations. Rather than utilizing the app to scan a station to add it to your market, our Development team will add these stations to your market. You can then add them to the desired venue in the dashboard as you would a smaller station.
Setting up the display requires a WiFi connection so that the stations can be updated remotely with XDS display software. You will need to connect a mouse to the station to open up the WiFi settings. Once connected, take a photograph of the registration information so we can setup the station in XDS for remote updates to the display.

Issue - Screen turning off
Causes
No power supply to the station, or screen. Hardware related issues
Screen turns off, software related
The computer turned off
Solution - Screen turning off
Start by identifying if it's hardware or software-related. To identify which, restart the station. If the screen starts like normal then the problem is software-related
1. No power supply to the station, or screen. Hardware related issues
...
2. Screen turns off, Software related
Start by checking the screen settings in XDS and make sure AutoReboot and PowerOff PowerOn is disabled
Terminal management > Right-click on the station > Settings:
Turn off AutoReboot
Turn off PowerOff PowerOn
If both are turned off, restart the station again and check so it doesn't look like the picture below:
Set PowerOff Time: ABC 123
Set PowerOn Time: ABC 123
If it does, solve it by
Connect the station to WiFi and it will download the settings from XDS (where you removed PowerOn PowerOff
Connect a mouse to the station's computer > Right click > Senior Settings > Clear Timing OnOff. (HOW TO VIDEO)
Reboot the station and PowerOn PowerOff will be removed from the starting screen
Problem with uploading to screen "Program Synched" = Unsynched or Sync Abnormal
Your XDS version is out of Date. Please download this version
The file you are uploading has some issues. To verify, go to the Program and press "USB Export" and export to your desktop. You will get an error message regarding the corrupted file.
To solve this, replace the corrupted file.
Always be sure to use a simple naming convention of the file type. Long file names, or unusual characters will cause issues when uploading and downloading content.
Make a second attempt when uploading the content if you have the abnormal sync error an insure that the XDS software completes the full update and that the stations have a strong WiFi signal. If the station or the laptop you are uploading from loses a connection during the upload or download process you may have the 'abnormal sync' error, just make a second attempt, insuring that the file name is a common name and file type.
No COM Port is showing in the drop-down menu when connecting the bridge
The station and the bridge must be turned on for SPU to show port
Start by identifying if the reason is the bridge or the computer:
Solution: Connect the laptop to a Hut or Condo:
If it still doesn't find the COM Port, then it's on the computer.
What to try: Restart SerialPort, Restart the computer, or switch computer
If it finds a com port, then try another bridge
Procedure to follow
connect the usb and the bridge,
turn off the station.
close down all programs (no other programs can be using the port)
wait 10 seconds
start serial port utility
turn on the station again.
Does the port show?
Station doesn't blink after restart
Make sure to reboot the station with at least 10 seconds off. If you turn it on and off the power cycle could still remain true which results in an incorrect restart of the system
