A preauthorization amount is a temporary hold placed by a merchant on a customer's payment card to verify that sufficient funds or credit are available before completing a transaction. This hold typically appears as a pending charge but is not an actual withdrawal or payment. It ensures that the card can cover the anticipated cost of the service or product, but the final charge may differ based on the actual amount due.
The partner success manager will set the market-level pricing model. This is automatically applied to all stations in your network (you can adjust these by toggling on 'custom pricing' at individual stations within venues, or to venues.
Typically the reauthorization is set to €2. You can increase it in multiples of that initial amount. We normally recommend trying to keep it low to allow more potential rentals and revenue overall than increasing the restrictions to initiate a rental.
