Server Error Message

This article describes issues with a station that is online (solid lights) and appears online in the dashboard, but you get a 'server error'

Updated over a week ago

If your station has solid lights, indicating it has connected to the network, and appears online in the dashboard, but you get a generic 'server error' message when attempting to rent a powerbank it can be due to the station starting up and still downloading and uploading information from the network.

When first turning on the station, you should let the station lights go solid, you'll often hear a click sound. If you attempt a rental just as the lights go solid, you'll most likely come across this server error message.

Let the station complete its startup process. In most cases this is shortly after the lights are solid. This can take up to one heartbeat (five minute period between stations communicating with the Brick network).

If the stations are still giving a server error message, search for the troubleshooting guide to confirm if it's an issue related to power, the SIM card in the station, the APN configuration or the SETID configuration.
